Emmanuel Tujyinama

Emmanuel Tujyinama is a food scientist and water quality specialist with strong expertise in laboratory management, water testing, and filtration system design. Trained to RS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards, he combines scientific precision with practical field experience to ensure safe drinking water systems and high laboratory quality standards.

Emmanuel Tujyinama is a food scientist currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Food Science and Technology at INES Ruhengeri. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Rwanda and is trained in RS ISO/IEC 17025:2017 laboratory standards.

He currently serves as a Water Quality Specialist at Water Access Rwanda, where he leads water testing and laboratory operations for INUMA™ minigrid systems. Emmanuel designs filtration systems based on borehole test results, conducts post-filtration verification, and oversees ongoing water quality monitoring to ensure compliance with East African drinking water standards. He also coordinates laboratory designation processes and manages laboratory equipment and stock.

Emmanuel’s experience spans quality inspection, production supervision, and laboratory analysis across multiple organizations, including Intertek Rwanda, GBUM Company, Jibu Rwanda, Rwanda Standards Board, and WFP-supported programs. His background includes supervising food and water quality production, conducting laboratory analysis, managing stock and documentation, and supporting monitoring and evaluation activities using tools such as mWater, QGIS, SPSS, and AutoCAD.

He brings a rare combination of laboratory science, field water systems knowledge, and quality assurance experience, making him highly effective in ensuring both the safety and reliability of water and food systems in challenging environments.
