Almaquin supported the Safe Water, Safe Girls project at Waitambogwe Secondary School in Uganda. Local partners installed a 5,000 L rainwater collection system using locally sourced materials and skills, supported by caretaker training and school oversight. The project brought water onto school grounds to reduce girls’ reliance on 2–3 km walks through sugarcane fields and support student safety, hygiene, and participation in school.
